In the midst of a period of heightened gun violence in the Denver area, 25-year-old Jonathan Saldaña Garcia was fatally shot on the evening of October 22, 2022. The incident, which also resulted in the injury of two adult women, occurred at what was described as a house party in the 1600 block of South Beach Court in the southwest part of the city. He was one of three people shot during the violent encounter.
