On February 14, 2017, 63-year-old Richard "Gene" Hammond was found murdered in Denver, Colorado. A retired Marine Major, Hammond left his home early that morning between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m. to head to work in Fountain, Colorado, a routine he followed regularly.
