Mark Outman, a 64-year-old male and a distinguished Denver architect, was killed on December 28, 2020, during a violent home invasion at his residence in the city's Montclair neighborhood. The incident unfolded when three individuals, posing as utility workers, gained entry to his home. During the burglary, Mr. Outman was fatally shot. A family member, identified as his daughter, was also shot and sustained critical injuries but was able to call 911 to report the assault.
