Luis Zuniga, 44, a male of Hispanic/Latino ethnicity, had just returned from Sunday services when the quiet rhythm of his afternoon was broken by gunfire outside his home in Chicago's Belmont Cragin neighborhood. Around 2:20 p.m. on November 9, 2014, he pulled into the driveway in a white minivan and stepped out. A vehicle that had been nearby opened fire. Zuniga was struck in the head and collapsed near his home, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
