On what was supposed to be a night of entertainment, Staff Sgt. Jesse Evan Childress, a 29-year-old male, became a hero. He was at the midnight premiere of 'The Dark Knight Rises' at the Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, on July 20, 2012, with a fellow Air Force member.
