In the late hours of a March evening in Pueblo, Colorado, a domestic disturbance escalated into a fatal encounter that ended the life of Robert James Gonzales, a 23-year-old male. The events of March 5, 2014, began to unfold when Pueblo police officers were dispatched to a residence on Jackson Street around 10:33 p.m. following a distressing 911 call.
