In the summer of 2015, the life of 68-year-old Francisco Antonio Fresquez came to a tragic end in Pueblo, Colorado. On the morning of August 4th, Fresquez was identified by police as a suspect in a shooting that occurred outside the Cesar Chavez Academy. The male victim of the shooting was reportedly walking into his workplace at the school when he was shot in the back.
Authorities immediately began a search for Fresquez, cautioning the public that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
The manhunt for Francisco Antonio Fresquez, who was also known as Tony, concluded later the same day. He was discovered in the backyard of a relative's home located in the 2500 block of Poplar Street. It was there that Fresquez took his own life. His death brought an end to the immediate search, leaving behind questions surrounding the morning's violent events. An obituary confirmed his passing on August 4, 2015, and noted that he was a man who loved fixing and restoring old cars, as well as playing the guitar and piano. He was survived by his children and a large extended family.
