In the winter of 2017, a tragedy unfolded in Colorado Springs, Colorado, that claimed the life of 8-year-old Rodolfo Barcenas Badillo Jr. On January 10th, the young male was found deceased, a victim of gun violence. The incident that led to his untimely death also took the lives of two other family members, 5-year-old Laela Barcenas Badillo and 26-year-old Lucero Badillo-Castillo.
