In the winter of 2017, the life of 26-year-old Lucero Badillo-Castillo was tragically cut short in what authorities would later describe as a heartbreaking murder-suicide. On January 10th, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, a horrific scene was discovered where Lucero and her two young children, 5-year-old Laela Barcenas Badillo and 8-year-old Rodolfo Barcenas Badillo Jr., were found deceased.
