In the quiet community of Colorado Springs, a heart-wrenching scene unfolded on January 10, 2017, leaving a family shattered by violence. Inside a home, authorities discovered the bodies of three individuals, including a young child, in what was determined to be a murder-suicide. The victims were identified as 5-year-old Laela Barcenas Badillo, a female, 26-year-old Lucero Badillo-Castillo, and 8-year-old Rodolfo Barcenas Badillo Jr.
The investigation into the tragic event revealed that
a fourth individual, Carlos Barcenas, was also found deceased at the scene. Authorities identified him as the suspect in the killings and concluded that he had taken his own life after ending the lives of the other three.
