A murdered woman is found floating in a lake.
On October 16, 1987, the body of 44-year-old Sherry Boyd was found floating in Prospect Lake in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Sherry had been left crippled and primarily confined to a wheelchair following a violent assault about a decade earlier. An autopsy revealed that her cause of death was asphyxiation, and her death was ruled a homicide. Investigators believe that Sherry was murdered before her body was placed in the lake.
