A murdered woman is found floating in a lake. On October 16, 1987, the body of 44-year-old Sherry Boyd, a Black female, was discovered floating in Prospect Lake in Colorado Springs. A decade prior to her death, Ms. Boyd had been the victim of a violent assault that left her crippled and dependent on a wheelchair for mobility.
