In the summer of 2018, the life of 20-year-old Clinton Joe Jordan Jr. was tragically cut short in Pueblo, Colorado. Known affectionately as 'Wedo,' he was a young man described as having a big heart, always willing to give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He enjoyed sports, particularly football, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends, sharing stories and laughter.
On June 25, 2018, Clinton's life came to a violent end.
His body was discovered at a residence in the 2500 block of East 20th Street in Pueblo. The Pueblo Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation into his death.
The investigation led detectives to identify a suspect: 20-year-old Charles James “CJ” Martinez. A warrant for first-degree murder was issued for his arrest, and authorities began a search for him. For months, Martinez remained at large.
The pursuit of justice for Clinton Jordan continued, and on November 27, 2018, the efforts of the Pueblo Police Department paid off. Charles Martinez was located and taken into custody. His arrest marked a significant development in the case, bringing a measure of relief to a grieving family and community, as the legal process against the man accused of ending a young life could finally begin.
