In the early afternoon of February 27, 2019, a verbal altercation in the parking lot of a McDonald's near the Midtown Shopping Center in Pueblo, Colorado, escalated into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 29-year-old Travis Elifritz. The dispute involved occupants of two separate vehicles, leading to multiple shots being fired. Elifritz was struck and rushed to a local hospital, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
