On the warm evening of August 16, 2020, in Denver, Colorado, 30-year-old Jessica Marisela Barraza-Hernandez, a Hispanic female, was sitting in a vehicle with friends. They were in the 600 block of South Federal Boulevard around 10 p.m., intending to pick up another person, when the night was shattered by the sound of gunfire.
