On the afternoon of October 31, 2020, in Dotsero, near Gypsum, Colorado, a domestic dispute escalated into a devastating act of violence that claimed the lives of a husband and wife, leaving their three children orphaned. The Eagle County Sheriff's Office responded to a distressing 911 call made by one of the children, who reported that their parents were severely injured and in need of immediate help.
Upon their arrival at the Dotsero Mobile Home Park, deputies found the three children
physically unharmed with a neighbor, where they had been instructed to go by dispatchers. The children recounted the horrific events they had witnessed, stating that their father had shot their mother before turning the gun on himself.
