In the heart of Denver, Colorado, a place he had grown to love, the life of Lee Michael Fowler, a 35-year-old man, was tragically cut short on March 8, 2021. The Denver Police Department, aided by the city's High Activity Location Observation cameras, quickly identified a suspect running from the scene. A bag containing suspected fentanyl and crack cocaine was found on the ground at the location of his arrest.
Following his apprehension, Baldwin was uncooperative with authorities, providing a false name and making threats. He was initially charged with attempted first-degree murder, but after Lee Fowler succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds at a local hospital later that day, the charges were upgraded to first-degree murder. The investigation revealed that Baldwin had a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 16, 2021.
Lee Michael Fowler, originally from New Iberia, Louisiana, was remembered as a man who loved the mountains and parks of the Denver area, where he enjoyed skateboarding. He was a father to a son, Kaiden, and had a girlfriend, Melissa Ann Pitton. His family, including his parents and siblings, mourned the loss of a man who was loved very much and would be dearly missed. He had worked various jobs throughout his life, including in the oilfield and as a handyman. His life was celebrated with memorial services in his hometown of New Iberia.
