On a summer evening in Denver, Colorado, a quiet fishing trip turned into a tragedy that has remained a mystery for decades. Thomas Lane, a 43-year-old white male, left his Capitol Hill apartment on July 14, 1986, for a short walk to Washington Park, a popular urban oasis. He settled on the bank of the north lake, casting his line into the water as the evening set in. It was in this peaceful setting that his life was abruptly ended by a single gunshot.
