On February 26, 1993, a tragic incident unfolded in Denver, Colorado, resulting in the death of 25-year-old Gerald Robert Martinez. The events began when officers responded to a ‘shots fired’ call in an alley near the 2800 block of Stout and Champa Streets. Upon arrival, they found Gerald Martinez mortally wounded from gunshot injuries he had sustained.
