On April 1, 2021, a tragic incident occurred in Denver, Colorado, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, DeAngelo Tafoya, 22, and David Lara, 59. The victims were found near the intersection of Federal Boulevard and Alameda Avenue, specifically at a bus stop, after a 911 call was made regarding gunshots and a tan SUV in the area. Upon arrival, police discovered the male victims suffering from shooting wounds. Despite being taken to the hospital, both men succumbed to their injuries.
