In the early morning hours of November 4, 2020, a triple shooting in Denver claimed the life of 30-year-old William O'Keefe. Police responded to the scene in the 3200 block of Locust Street, near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, shortly before 3 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered two victims with gunshot wounds.
Both O'Keefe and another man, later identified as Eric Macias, were transported to Denver Health for treatment. Tragically, both men succumbed to their injuries.
A third victim was located about two hours later and survived the shooting. The Denver coroner determined that O'Keefe died from a gunshot wound. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
As of October 2021, nearly a year after the shooting, no arrests had been made in the case. Denver police informed O'Keefe's father that they had a person of interest but needed more evidence to proceed with an arrest. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released any information about a suspect.
