In the spring of 2004, a life was tragically cut short at a house party in Denver. Angelo Gomez, a 16-year-old male, was attending a gathering on the 1100 block of South Raritan Street on the evening of April 24th. What began as a social event descended into violence when a disturbance broke out.
During the altercation, gunfire erupted from opposing sides of the argument. In the chaos, Angelo was struck by a bullet.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he died as a result of the shooting.
The Denver Police Department investigated the incident as a homicide. However, despite their efforts, the case grew cold over the years. To date, there has been no public information released regarding any specific suspects or arrests made in connection with the death of Angelo Gomez. The case remains an unsolved homicide, leaving a family and community searching for answers and justice for the young life lost.
