On September 11, 2008, a tragic incident occurred in Grand Junction, Colorado, resulting in the death of 13-year-old Jacob Grabe. Jacob, who lived with a mild case of autism and Asperger’s Syndrome, was an eighth-grader at Grand Mesa Middle School and was known for his involvement in the school band, where he played the French horn.
