In the spring of 2021, a tragic and violent event cut short the life of 36-year-old Carl L. Kern IV in Denver, Colorado. On the morning of May 7th, police responded to a disturbance call at the Pembrooke on the Green apartments. Upon arrival, they discovered Kern in a grassy area, suffering from a puncture wound to his chest. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where an X-ray revealed he had been shot.
