On July 19, 2021, at approximately 3:32 a.m., 49-year-old Robert Matthew Froemke was fatally shot in the 1600 block of Blake Street in Denver's Lower Downtown (LoDo) district. The Denver Police Department (DPD) responded to the scene, where Froemke was found with serious gunshot injuries. He was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries the following day.
