On a summer evening in Denver, Colorado, the life of 31-year-old Robert Damontay Sillemon was cut short by an act of gun violence. The shooting occurred on the night of the Fourth of July in 2022, in the 2100 block of West Pacific Place. Sillemon was a father, son, and brother, remembered for a smile that could light up any room and a fun-loving spirit that drew many to him.
The incident that claimed Sillemon's life also left three other individuals wounded, turning a day of celebration
into one of tragedy for the community.
