In the summer of 2021, a deeply tragic and violent series of events unfolded in Denver, Colorado, leading to the death of 41-year-old Neomi Tafoya. On the evening of July 24th, Tafoya had gone to the home of a woman considered to be her friend, Lisa Garcia, located in the 4700 block of North Vine Street. The plan was for Tafoya's mother, Karen, to pick her up from Garcia's residence to attend a baby shower together. However, what should have been a joyful occasion took a horrifying turn.
