On a cold December day in 2016, the life of 32-year-old Gilberto Medina-Pena, a Hispanic male, was tragically cut short in Albuquerque, New Mexico. On December 12th, Medina-Pena was the victim of a fatal shooting, an act of gun violence that left a community searching for answers. Remembered as a happy, loving, and funny soul, his sudden death prompted an immediate investigation by the Albuquerque Police Department.
