In the early hours of April 29, 2020, Roswell police responded to a call at a residence on East Ballard Street, south of Roswell, New Mexico. Upon arrival, officers discovered 37-year-old Leroy Jaramillo Acosta suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a hospital in Lubbock, Texas, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
