Merehildo Ray “Mere” Contreras, 31, male, was found shot to death on the morning of August 22, 2015, inside a small home in Roswell, New Mexico. Officers were dispatched around 8 a.m. after a call about a deceased person at a residence on East Reed Street, where they discovered four gunshot victims. Contreras and two others—19-year-old Damon B. Oswald-Newman and 25-year-old Shelly L. Bird—were pronounced dead at the scene, while a fourth victim, a 24-year-old woman, was gravely injured a ...
