On July 25, 2020, Zachariah Juwaun Shorty, a 23-year-old resident of Nenahnezad, New Mexico, located on the Navajo Nation, was found deceased. His body was discovered on a dirt pathway in a field in this rural area. The cause of his death was determined to be gunshot wounds, indicating a violent and intentional act.
