On October 29, 2020, 22-year-old Elijah Cordova was fatally shot at North Domingo Baca Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. when two men were found in the park's parking lot with gunshot wounds. One man had been shot in the leg and was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other man, later identified as Cordova, was found in a vehicle in the lot and died from his injuries after being taken to a hospital.
