In the late autumn of 1985, a tragedy unfolded in the city of Springfield, Massachusetts, forever marking November 12th as a day of somber remembrance. Michael Schiavina, a 28-year-old White male, was a dedicated police officer serving his community. On that fateful Tuesday, he was on patrol with his partner, Officer Alain Beauregard, when they approached a vehicle occupied by two men.
