In the North End of Springfield, Massachusetts, on a Tuesday afternoon, June 30, 2015, the life of 20-year-old Chris Calvente, a Black/African American male, was cut short by gun violence. A dispute that afternoon escalated, leading to a double shooting that left another man wounded with gunshots to his hand and back, though he was expected to survive.
