In the spring of 2015, the life of 18-year-old Kenneth Lopez-Torres was tragically cut short. A Hispanic male, Lopez-Torres was a student at the High School of Commerce in Springfield, Massachusetts, having resided in the city for the last decade after being born in Riopiedras, Puerto Rico. His life came to a violent end on March 25, 2015, a victim of gun violence in Springfield.
