On the late spring evening of May 1, 2021, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace on Leete Street in Springfield, Massachusetts. When police officers arrived around 11:50 p.m., drawn by a ShotSpotter activation, they discovered a grim scene. Inside a parked car, they found two men who had been shot. Both were rushed to Baystate Medical Center for urgent medical care.
