On the evening of April 27, 2017, a young man’s life was cut short on the streets of Springfield, Massachusetts. Christopher Bailey, a 19-year-old male, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the vicinity of Bay and Edgewood streets at approximately 6:30 p.m. The discovery prompted an immediate response from law enforcement, who arrived to find a scene that would soon become the city's second homicide investigation of the year.
