On November 15, 2023, a shooting incident occurred in Springfield, Massachusetts, resulting in the death of Emanuel Cruz, a 42-year-old man. The incident took place near the 100 block of Morgan Street, where Cruz and another man were found inside a freightliner, and a third victim was discovered on the sidewalk. A fourth victim later presented themselves at Baystate Medical Center, where the other two surviving victims were also taken for treatment.
Emanuel Cruz was rushed to the
hospital by paramedics but succumbed to his injuries. The other man found inside the freightliner suffered serious wounds, while the other victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
