In the spring of 2018, the life of 20-year-old Christopher Montgomery, a Black male from Springfield, Massachusetts, was tragically cut short. On the afternoon of March 28th, violence erupted on Knox Street, a neighborhood that would become the backdrop for a grim chapter in the city's history. Montgomery was in a car when a gunman, concealed by a ski mask and wearing headphones, approached and opened fire, fatally wounding him.
