In the late afternoon of Monday, February 26, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Bay Street parking lot in Springfield, Massachusetts, leaving a young man's life tragically cut short. First responders arrived at the scene just before 4:00 p.m. to find 23-year-old Anthony Goss of Westfield inside a car, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, Goss succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The victim was identified as a White male.
