In the evening hours of Tuesday, November 23, 2021, the life of a young Black man, Lydale Mitchell, was tragically cut short in Springfield, Massachusetts. At approximately 9:00 p.m., officers from the Springfield Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of Cuff Avenue following a report of a person suffering from a gunshot wound.
