On the night of July 4, 2017, the community of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, was shaken by violence that led to the death of Paul Eian LaVar Henry, a 39-year-old Black/African American male. Pittsfield Police responded to reports of a shooting near John Street and discovered Mr. Henry deceased at the scene. His death was investigated as the city's first homicide of the year. An autopsy was ordered to be conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the official cause of death. ...
