In the early hours of August 7, 2017, the city of Holyoke, Massachusetts, was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 37-year-old Arnaldo Rentas, a Black male. Just after 1:00 a.m., the sound of gunfire echoed in the area of 570 South Summer Street, prompting calls to the Holyoke Police Department.
