On the cold winter night of January 31, 2018, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Boston neighborhood, claiming the life of 33-year-old Ian Hunter, a Black/African American man. The tragic event unfolded at approximately 9:35 p.m. in the vicinity of 102 Brook Avenue in the Dorchester area of the city. Hunter was discovered inside a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
