In the early evening of September 17, 2020, a burst of gunfire shattered the dinnertime peace on Decatur Street in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston. When police responded to reports of shots fired and a car crash around 7:30 p.m., they discovered two men inside a vehicle, both suffering from serious gunshot wounds. One of the men, 24-year-old Wildeny Tejeda-Mejia of Lynn, was pronounced dead at the scene.
