On a cold winter day in Boston, on January 24, 2002, the life of a three-year-old boy named Malik Andrade Percival was tragically cut short. An intruder, posing as a police officer, knocked on the door of his family's Dorchester apartment and attempted to force his way inside. In the chaos that ensued, a single gunshot was fired, striking young Malik, who was inside the home. The male child died from the fatal wound, leaving his family and the community in shock and grief.
