On a spring afternoon in 2018, a white Caucasian male named Sean Gannon, a 32-year-old K-9 officer with the Yarmouth Police Department, was part of a team of officers serving an arrest warrant in Marstons Mills, Massachusetts. The date was April 12, and the subject of the warrant was a career criminal named Thomas Latanowich, who was wanted for a probation violation.
