Anthony Galvan, age 25, was fatally shot on September 19, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident took place in the Little Village neighborhood, an area on Chicago's West Side that has seen persistent issues related to gang activity and violent crime. Galvan was shot while standing on a street, becoming one of the many victims of gun violence that year in Chicago. Despite rapid response by emergency services, Galvan succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
