In the cool autumn evening of Friday, November 1, 2019, the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston was shattered by gun violence that claimed the life of Aderito Barbosa, a 35-year-old Black / African American male from Dorchester. Just after 10:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the area of 35 Paine Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Barbosa suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
