In the early hours of a cold Sunday morning in Boston, on February 23, 2014, the life of 23-year-old Daniel Paul Taylor, a Black male, was tragically cut short. Just after midnight, at approximately 12:42 a.m., police responded to a call of shots fired in the vicinity of 126 Boston Street in Dorchester. Upon arrival, officers discovered Taylor suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, where he was later pronounced deceased.
