In the small town of Fort Klamath, Oregon, a popular and respected lawman's life was cut short on a summer evening. City Marshal John Wesley Lambert, a 57-year-old man, was known for his dedication to keeping the peace. On August 7, 1911, this dedication would cost him his life.
